FAQS

Wedding planning can be very overwhelming and daunting but it should also be one that is very exciting and fun. To help you out with a lot of the questions you may have, I have put together some frequently asked questions.

  • I would advise that you start the invitation process at least 12 months prior to your wedding date or as early as possible to allow enough time for design, production and delivery.

I recommend booking early to guarantee your place, you don’t want to feel rushed especially at the design stage.

  • For bespoke designs lead times are anywhere from 6-8 weeks from initial consultation. House collections lead times are anywhere from 2-4 weeks. On-the-day stationery lead times are anywhere from 4-8 weeks.

It really depends on the complexity of the design and if you would like a single item or a full stationery package. It’s important to get in touch as soon as possible to book your place in my diary. Each month I have a limit to the number of clients I work with to ensure that each couple receives the highest level of attention and service.

  • For digital print there is a minimum order of 20 and for letterpress and hot foil printing there is a minimum order of 50. This applies only to invitations and save the date cards.

When deciding how many invitations you need I always suggest you work on the basis of one invitation per household, couple or individual, plus an extra 20%. This 20% allows for keepsakes and any mistakes or last minute additions, reprints can be very costly.

For all other items such as on-the-day stationery, there is no minimum order quantity but please bear in mind that single items can be more expensive to print.

  • I understand all weddings are different, which is why I offer individual tailored quotes, rather than a standard price list.

My house collections (starting from £295.00) are suites that I have already created, this is a more cost-effective option for some couples as you only have to pay design fees for the on-the-day items. Every collection is semi-customisable and can be tailored fully to your requirements and personalised to fit your wedding aesthetic. Ranging from invitations through to on-the-day stationery and signage.

For a full bespoke stationery package, my average client will spend from £300+. The price will depend on many factors including: quantity, how many inserts you have, size, printing methods, paper stocks and embellishments such as foiling etc. It is important from the beginning to be realistic about your budget so that I can make recommendations to help and suit your desired budget.

By paying the bespoke fee you are commissioning me to use my design and print expertise to craft your stationery as well as working with my carefully selected print and paper partners who work with the finest quality materials, techniques and finishes. I will work with you throughout the entire process to create and explore design concepts that will tie into your wedding style perfectly.

  • Yes! Bespoke sample packs are £15.00 and are made up of current stock samples, you will be given as close to your preference as possible. This will give you a chance to see and feel print finishes and a small selection of card stock quality before proceeding with booking.

You will also receive a digital print colour chart with popular colour choices which will show you how colours print and access to my online tool-kit. When you do go ahead with a booking the cost of the sample pack is reimbursed against your booking.

  • Yes, you can book a full (45 minute) consultation which is £25.00 (of which is redeemable against your booking if you proceed).

Consultations can be done over the phone or via zoom.

  • After I’ve received your request, I will create a cost estimate and detailed project outline for you based on your preferences. On approval of this estimate, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and before any design work can begin. Payments can be made via BACS transfer or via debit/credit card (fee’s do apply for the later).

Depending on your requirements and package the remaining balance is due in different stages. Upon approval of final digital PDF proofs the remaining balance would be due before anything is sent to print.

  • Once you have worked out your budget and timescales the next thing to do is to get in contact with me. I always recommend you do some research, set up a Pinterest board or browse Instagram for examples of what you like and don’t like so then together we can start exploring fonts, colours, paper stocks and design elements that fit into your theme and can be carried across all your stationery.
